John E. Pirkle, Sr. is a retired Army Colonel with 27 years of service. He was a Signal Corps Aviator, and flew helicopters for two tours of duty in Vietnam. His jobs also included Battalion Command and Chief of Combat Net Radio Development. His Army experience has given him an extensive background in electronics. Upon retiring, he combined that experience and his lifelong love of the antique automobile and founded Master City Classic Car Parts in 1988. He is an NCRS Master Judge and owns several Corvettes.

John E. Pirkle, Jr. is also a lifelong antique auto enthusiast. (He still owns his first car.) He left retail management behind in 1990 to join his father at Masters City Classic Car Parts. He is an NCRS Master Judge, an NCCB Judge, and an A.S.E. Certified Electrical Technician. John Jr. lives his hobby: he doesn't own a car any newer than a 1972 model.
